About Me

I’m one of those rare breed of Web Professionals who can design, develop, animate, program and write with equal ease. I practice all of these things everyday and love every bit and byte of it! A go-to guy at workplace.

Based in Lahore, Pakistan, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of web development processes having worked in the capacity of Web Designer (UX & UI), PHP Developer, Flash ActionScript Developer, SEO Consultant, Software Engineer, Information Architect, Interaction Designer,  and Project Manager in the last 12 years designing and developing creative, interactive and usable web solutions that get high rankings in search engines and drive qualified traffic to your website making it a successful technology investment.

Through clean and simple design, clear navigation and logical, semantic layout of the content and information and at the same time making it search engine friendly is the theme around I design solutions for clients. And it’s more than just the front end designing and its conversion which is at play in modern websites. Development of a super easy backend is at the heart of my development paradigm.

I’m a big fan of minimalist design approach. I believe in three simple rules, clean and uncluttered design; super easy admin panel (CMS) and search engine friendly structure and you get a reasonable functional application that fulfils your business requirements and streamlines the processes. Even for a rich interactive application (RIAs), my priority has always been keeping things simpler.

When not designing, programming, developing, authoring, animating, creating Flash games and e-cards, blogging, seoing for clients, or administring web servers, I spend my time managing my few web portals and in exploring new technologies. Apart from tech, I have immense interest in History, Religion, Economy and Politics and indulge in the bashing of Mullahs and the Establishment with no end in sight! Some say, that’s my real profession and I could have swapped it with my web jobs, and I don’t really mind that observation !! Politically, I’m a moderate liberal, a center-left per say, more to the left than center to be precise.

I have done Masters in Economics and Computer Sciences. Running along Lahore canal early in the morning, watching good movies and listening music, gymming, reading books and political articles by Ejaz Haider, Ayaz Amir, Najam Sethi, Kamran Shafi, Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich, Thomas L. Friedman in particular and many others, and occasional stroll in Lawrence Garden, Lahore are few things that I do and enjoy muchly!

I’m an avid sports fan and like Cricket especially. Pakistan and Australia are my favourite teams.

My playlists often include Dido, Bryan Adams, Emiliana Torrini, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, Aerosmith, Nazia Hassan, Nayyara Noor, Junoon, Jazzy B, Atif Aslam and many many Indian songs.
