Fix Adobe Flash CS5 Crash on Launching Flash

When I tried to launch my Flash CS5 after a while, it crashed and after crashing few more times on failed attempts to launch Flash, I deleted first run and poreferances files of Flash CS5 which resolved this issue. I had the same experience with Flash CS4 too. And this crashing issue is not just limtied to Flas, Fireworks and Dreamweaver CS4 & 5 have also crashed for me. each time, first run and prefrances folder deletion resolved the issue.

In case you are wondering where you can find this directory on your machine just go to the following location and remove the directory for Flash.

CS5.5

-Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS5.5\
-Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS5.5\
-Mac OS X: /User//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/

CS5
