PI Media respects intellectual-property rights and provides this channel for copyright owners to report material they believe infringes their rights. This page describes our voluntary notice-and-takedown process and is not a representation that a designated agent registration is currently active in the U.S. Copyright Office directory.
Copyright Infringement Notice
To request removal or restriction of allegedly infringing material, email parorrey@yahoo.com with the subject line Copyright / DMCA Notice. Your notice should include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, preferably the complete URL of each relevant page.
- Your name, organisation (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Please do not send attachments containing unnecessary personal information. We may forward a notice to the person who supplied the affected material or otherwise disclose it as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond.
Our Response
We will review sufficiently detailed notices and may remove or restrict access to material while we investigate. We may request missing information. Submitting a notice does not guarantee removal, particularly where an exception or defence such as licence, public domain, fair dealing or fair use may apply.
Counter-Notification
If material you supplied was removed or restricted because of a copyright notice and you believe this resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to parorrey@yahoo.com containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address, together with any jurisdiction and service-of-process statements required by applicable law.
We may provide the counter-notification to the original claimant and act in accordance with applicable law.
Repeat Infringement and Misrepresentations
Where appropriate, we may suspend or terminate repeat infringers’ ability to submit or publish material. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may result in liability. Consider obtaining independent legal advice before submitting either document.
Other Intellectual-Property Concerns
For trademark, privacy, impersonation or other non-copyright concerns, contact parorrey@yahoo.com and clearly identify the issue and relevant URL.
