I have been working on Elance for few months and I’m going to review my bad experience there. I have met there great clients with whom I have worked on many great projects but as they say, good going is no news. it is only bad experiences that we whine and talk about so here is mine.
Elance is great place for getting projects and work and listing yourself as a freelancer but it is not without its perils. There are few people who list their projects in the hope to get their work done for free.
One of such fraudster is Kartik Agarwal of technosip.com
First of all, let me state Kartik Agarwal of technosip.com is a total Fraud! This guy is total crook. No person should ever work with him or hire his or technosip services.
He awarded me a project in Jan 2015 for his website technosip.com redesign and development work. Kartik Agarwal, CEO of technosip.com. After completion of original work, he requested extra work to be done, and once that was done, he refused to pay for the work. Not only that, he tried to block the Elance payment of the original work and disputed payment. His extra work invoice is still pending in Elance, and I’m looking for an attorney in NJ to recover either my amount or get my copyrighted work removed from his server.
Elance contacted both of us where I produced all chat, and other documents of the completed project and the extra work as well. Elance awarded the dispute in my favour and also released project amount. All this issue is documented on Elance support #1569830. (if someone needs more info, I will provide, but be careful of this fraudster Kartik Agarwal of technosip.com)
One purpose of this blog posting is to warn others who might become victim of Kartik Agarwal, and other to advise Elancers never work on anything until it is approved and made part of the project terms and Escrow funded. Don’t take client word for anything. Ask them to put it in the updated terms and also fund the extra work first via Escrow.
