Product landing pages often need an editorial introduction, campaign message, event details or partner disclosure alongside the catalog. The Display on Pages tab in PI Remote WooCommerce Product Display WordPress Plugin connects a remote catalog to an existing WordPress page without requiring shortcode editing.
Every placement stores its own source, filters, layout, metadata, colors and content position. You can create as many placements as needed.
Create the WordPress page first
Add or choose a standard WordPress page. It can be published, draft or private while you configure it. Write any local content that should frame the products: an introduction, buying guide, event description or affiliate disclosure.
Next, open Display on Pages and choose Add placement.
Name and target the placement
Give the placement an internal name, such as “Summer Footwear Landing Page.” Select the WordPress page and an enabled remote source.
Choose where the catalog appears:
- Before page content places products above the editor content.
- After page content places products below it.
- Replace page content uses the remote catalog instead of the page body.
The name is for administration; the optional Heading is shown to visitors.
Filter the remote products
Each placement can request a focused subset of the source catalog. Available controls include:
- Category slug.
- Tag slug.
- Search phrase.
- On-sale products only.
- Featured products only.
- Products per page, from 1 to 100.
- Order by newest, price, popularity, rating, title or random.
- Ascending or descending direction.
Use source-store slugs rather than display labels. For example, enter walking-shoes if that is the WooCommerce category slug at the publishing store.
Avoid applying too many filters at once until each value has been tested. A category, tag and search phrase must all lead to a valid product result or the page may correctly return no products.
Choose the presentation
The placement form supports grid, list and masonry layouts, along with Default, Minimal, Elevated Cards and Dark themes. Grid layouts provide three- and four-column choices and respond to smaller screens automatically.
Then choose exactly which product details to show:
- Price and rating.
- Description.
- Categories and tags.
- SKU.
- Sale or stock badges.
- Remote source label.
- Partner purchase button.
- Pagination.
This per-placement control is useful because a compact sidebar-style campaign and a detailed buying guide should not display the same amount of metadata.
Customize the call to action and colors
Enter placement-specific button text such as Buy Now, View at Partner Store or See Product Details. If left empty, the global default button text is used.
Nine color controls cover card background, border, product title, metadata, price, button background, button text, accent/categories and sale price/badge. These settings apply only to the current placement, so separate landing pages can match separate campaigns or partner brands.
Use the page preview
The preview area updates as display selections are made and can load the saved published page in an iframe. Check the heading, product count, button contrast, metadata density and mobile behavior before promoting the page.
If the preview is empty, test the source connection and temporarily remove filters. This quickly reveals whether the problem is connection-related or simply an over-specific query.
Manage unlimited placements
Saved placements appear in a table with the target page, source, filter summary, content position, status and actions. A placement can be edited, paused or deleted without modifying the page editor content.
That separation makes Display on Pages especially practical for marketers and site managers: landing pages can be assembled through controlled fields while the content team continues using familiar WordPress pages.
