A remote catalog should feel native to the publisher’s website without obscuring where the transaction occurs. PI Remote WooCommerce Product Display WordPress Plugin combines responsive layouts with explicit metadata and partner-link controls so every landing page can balance clarity, branding and disclosure.
Choose the layout for the content
Grid is the general-purpose choice for visual products. Three columns give titles and metadata more room; four columns create a denser catalog on large screens. Both adapt for tablets and phones.
List is useful when descriptions, ratings, categories or SKUs matter. It gives each product a wider horizontal area and supports comparison-oriented content.
Masonry works well when product images or descriptions vary in height. It creates an editorial rhythm without forcing every card into the same vertical dimension.
Use Default, Minimal, Elevated Cards or Dark theme as a starting point, then refine the placement colors.
Show only metadata that helps the decision
More information is not always more useful. Treat every field as a deliberate choice:
- Show price when visitors need an immediate buying signal.
- Show rating when the source has meaningful review data.
- Show description for unfamiliar or technical products.
- Show category and tags when they explain context or grouping.
- Show SKU for trade, replacement parts or specification-driven catalogs.
- Show sale and stock badges for urgency and availability.
- Show the source label when several partner stores appear on one site.
- Keep the partner button visible when the page is designed to generate store visits.
Display on Pages stores these choices per placement. A shortcode exposes the same visibility flags using 1 and 0 values.
Build a consistent color system
Each placement can control nine front-end colors: card background, card border, title, metadata, price, button background, button text, accent and sale state.
Begin with accessibility rather than decoration. Product titles and prices need strong contrast. Buttons should be recognizable as interactive controls. Sale colors should remain legible without becoming the only way a discount is communicated.
Global display settings provide shared accent, button, text and sale colors. Placement-level values can then adapt a campaign to a partner brand without affecting every catalog.
Write a clear partner button
The global default is Buy Now, and each placement or shortcode can override it. Useful alternatives include:
- View at Partner Store
- See Product Details
- Shop This Product
- Check Availability
The button leads to the product URL supplied by the source store. An option can open partner-store links in a new tab.
Add tracking without rebuilding URLs
The Settings tab accepts an affiliate tracking query without a leading question mark, for example:
utm_source=partner&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=summer-guide
The plugin appends this query to outbound partner links. Use parameters agreed with the store, and test links that already contain their own query strings.
Make the relationship transparent
Use the partner disclosure setting to explain that products come from an external store and that purchases occur there. Disclosure language should reflect the commercial arrangement and applicable advertising rules.
Showing a source label can add another layer of clarity, particularly on pages that contain multiple shortcodes from different stores.
Preview before publishing
Review the catalog at desktop, tablet and mobile widths. Check long titles, missing ratings, sale prices, empty descriptions and varying images. Confirm that button text does not wrap awkwardly and that focus and hover states remain visible.
A strong affiliate catalog feels curated, not copied. It uses source-store data but applies the publisher’s information hierarchy and visual system to help visitors discover relevant products.
