After a long time, almost an year, Google finally updated the PageRank that you see in the Google Toolbar and it has been all good for all my websites, no disappointments and no heartaches, so far so good.
Most of my websites and pages have got higher PRs or maintained the previous PR. Only one of the domain from my network of websites has gone down to PR3 from PR4, all of the rest have remained the same or have gone to next level, mostly inner pages.
But the most important gain has been the FashionCentral.pk’s from PR4 to PR5 which is great news! This will firmly establish it for all the keywords in its niche, not that it was doing bad before, but in the coming days I expect it to take remaining positions now where it was not #1.
Although many webmasters claim that PR no longer holds any importance but I strongly disagree. I have never seen any website getting top rankings for competitive keywords without having at least PR3 but it has always been the other way round. I have not seen any noticeable surge in traffic yet but it’s upwards!
After a very good 2010, it’s a really good start for 2011. I hope this update has been good for your websites too.
Cheers!
