An association website should make membership useful without forcing staff to maintain the same information in two systems. PI WP Suite for MemberClicks Trade connects MemberClicks Trade with WordPress so organizations can use their membership identity, events, profiles and access rules in a flexible website.
The PI WP Suite for MemberClicks Trade plugin uses the Trade JSON REST API and WebLinkAuth sign-in flow. MemberClicks Trade remains the system of record, while WordPress becomes the member-facing experience.
This guide explains every administration tab in version 1.0.0 and how the three license editions divide those capabilities.
License Key
The License Key tab activates the plugin for one domain and verifies whether the license is Standard, Business or Developer. Edition verification matters because the plugin does not assume an unknown license is Standard. Features are unlocked only after the license server returns a recognized product ID.
API Settings
API Settings stores the client ID, client secret, tenant and the API and authorization server addresses supplied for the MemberClicks account. Every normal Trade API request includes the required x-tenant header.
Administrators can test the connection and perform read-only resource checks before building public pages. This is important because Trade tenants do not always expose identical modules or fields.
Login & Access
Login & Access configures WebLinkAuth SSO, WordPress account creation and login-time member synchronization. The plugin provides one registered OAuth callback and up to five named destination profiles.
Members can select a “Continue with MemberClicks” button, authenticate using the account they already know and return to the intended WordPress destination. This is sometimes described as automatic login, but the accurate Trade terminology is SSO login destination links: the member still authenticates through the supported MemberClicks identity flow.
Restrict Content
Restrict Content protects WordPress pages and posts by login status or WordPress role. Administrators can protect existing content or create a protected draft, choose the permitted roles and set the visitor experience for unauthorized requests.
This makes WordPress useful for member resources, board documents, chapter materials, training links, videos and downloads without claiming that Trade itself is a content-management system.
Member Directory
Business and Developer editions add a searchable directory based on Trade Profile records. Administrators control public fields separately from private member-profile fields, choose Grid, List or Compact layouts, enable search and publish individual profile detail pages.
Organization views are derived from profile data because Trade does not provide a separate Organizations endpoint in the same way some other membership APIs do.
Member Sync & Roles
This workspace connects member information with WordPress access. It includes profile display choices, metadata discovery, role mapping and lifecycle rules.
Business administrators can discover tenant-supported member types and groups, map them to WordPress roles and configure lifecycle rules. Developer activates rule execution during login and scheduled reconciliation.
Member Portal
Business and Developer include the full portal builder. It assigns features to WordPress pages and provides Card, Glass and Flat visual themes plus Full Width, Header Banner and With Navigation layouts.
Available sections include a member dashboard, read-only profile, events, education and credits when supported, groups, directory, organizations and an Access Library. The current Trade data model remains read-only; profile editing, applications and LMS credit write-back are not presented as active version 1.0.0 capabilities.
Events
Events is one of the strongest public-facing areas. Administrators can build any number of event landing-page assignments, select a WordPress page, apply filters and choose Grid or List presentation with two or three columns.
The Events tab also controls optional visitor filters, thumbnails and placeholders, independent pagination, virtual event pages, selectable detail fields and noindex protection for temporary virtual URLs.
Caching & Sync
Standard uses safe automatic one-hour caching. Business adds practical cache presets. Developer unlocks individual durations by resource, shortcode-level overrides and advanced directory synchronization health and retry controls.
Caching reduces repeated API requests and helps event, profile and portal pages remain responsive.
Widgets and Shortcodes
Widgets provide SSO, events and groups in Standard, with profile and directory widgets added in Business and Developer. Edition badges make locked functionality clear.
Shortcodes cover login, event catalogues, groups, the member dashboard, profiles, directories, education, organizations and the Access Library. Each group identifies its required edition, and unsupported or unverified write-dependent groups are removed from the interface.

Support brings together quick-start guidance, connection diagnostics, edition information and a secret-free diagnostic download. Client secrets are not included in exported support information.
