Developer is for organizations that need WordPress to do more than display MemberClicks data. It adds governed write workflows, learning completion bridges, lifecycle automation, and deeper operational controls.
It includes everything in Business and is licensed for one domain.
Profile Editing With Explicit Field Selection
Developer can let a signed-in member update approved profile fields from WordPress.
Nothing is editable by default on a new installation.
The administrator must:
- Enable MemberClicks API writes.
- Confirm that the API client has write scope.
- Select member-editable fields.
- Configure whether approval is required.
- Test with a non-production profile.
The form uses supported field types instead of treating every value as plain text.
Registration and Application Forms
Developer includes a configurable WordPress registration or application form.
Administrators choose the registration fields separately from read-only and member-editable fields. This avoids exposing every profile attribute to an applicant.
The workflow requires:
- Developer license
- API writes enabled
- Registration enabled
- At least one registration field selected
With approval mode on, submissions enter the WordPress approval queue before anything is sent to MemberClicks.
Administrator Approval Queue
Approval mode is the safest way to begin using writes.
The queue records:
- Requested action
- Profile ID
- Submitted values
- Requesting WordPress user
- Approval status
An administrator can review, approve and send, or reject the request. Audit records document supported write activity.
This is especially useful for name, organization, address, or classification changes that require staff review.
Write-Readiness Diagnostics
Before enabling production writes, use the diagnostics to check:
- API configuration
- Write scope
- Selected editable fields
- Registration fields
- Approval mode
- Continuing-education endpoint availability
A valid access token does not prove that every write endpoint is available. The diagnostics turn those dependencies into a checklist.
Native LMS Completion Bridges
Developer includes adapters for:
- LearnDash
- LearnPress
- LifterLMS
- Tutor LMS
When configured, supported course completion events can submit an education or completion record to MC Professional.
The bridge includes duplicate-completion protection. Availability still depends on the organization’s MemberClicks configuration, endpoint access, category settings, and API permissions.
Test one course and one test profile before enabling site-wide completion submission.
Lifecycle Role Automation
Developer can adjust WordPress roles when supported membership values change.
Examples:
- Remove protected-access roles when membership expires.
- Grant a board role when the member joins the board group.
- Move a student to a professional role after member type changes.
Automation can run during login and scheduled reconciliation. Administrators should define expected role outcomes before enabling automatic removal.
Advanced Directory Synchronization
Developer adds:
- Incremental cursor
- Retry queue
- Exponential retry handling
- Created, updated, and failed counts
- Synchronization health report
These controls matter for large directories and temporary API failures.
Custom Portal CSS and Configuration Export
Developer allows carefully scoped portal CSS and downloadable JSON configuration export.
Use export before:
- Major portal redesigns
- Staging-to-production migration
- Changing templates across several portal sections
- Testing custom CSS
The export is a configuration backup, not a backup of MemberClicks profile data.
Advanced Caching
Developer can configure individual durations for events, groups, profiles, directories, education, organizations, and supported search sessions. It can also use shortcode-level cache overrides and manual clearing.
